Ok i am sat her untangling my necklaces AGAIN and it springs to mind is it really necessary to wear a pentacle?

Do you wear it because your making a statement? or for protection reasons or simply cos you have worn it that long you feel naked without it?

I have a tattoo of a pentacle do i really need to wear one round my neck?

Answer? probably not, i KNOW i am protected, i have no cause to make a statement.....yet i simply cannot take it off, i feel naked.

I know people have varying methods of witchy record keeping. I myself have a folder containing all my written rituals, research etc. A leatherbound book for my spells and chants. And a BOS on my pc containing all that fills the folder and book. I also try and keep a journal of some description but it tends to go from book to pixel every other day. LOL

I sometimes fall behind in updating them all, and sometimes i wonder why i bother but then i know in 10years time i can look back and see all ...

I've come to a crossroads between my old path and the new. When i first came to witchcraft many moons ago it seemed everywhere i turned someone had an athame, chalice, altar cloth, the whole shebang. And it seemed as if you couldnt do anything without the 'correct' tools.

Obviously in an effort to do things 'properly' i have over the years collected the necessary items.

The thing is since leaving behind Wicca and following my new and sometimes surprising path, i've come to the conclusion ...

I was reading an article earlier about services that offer to cast spells/perform healing rituals etc for you over the phone or through the internet and the above image was one claiming to be able to do this for you without ever having to see you or speak to you, all they needed were some simple bits of information about your situation and they could work the magic for you.

It wasn't any one particular religion being discussed, there were offers for pre-cursed Voodoo dolls, Hoodoo ...

Blessings everyone

With Mabon soon to be upon us, i thought it would be nice to hear what each of us are going to do to celebrate.

Will you be celebrating in style with a chalice of mead at hand?..or taking a quiet moment of reflection in your garden?

Post here and lets see what we are all doing. You never know, you may get some inspiration for something a bit different.

I feel that Witchcraft draws people closer to the earth as does paganism.

Hi folks

I'm sorry i haven't been on in a couple of days i haven't been feeling totally up to par.

Merry Belated Lughnasadh to you all!

Did anyone celebrate it? I only had the energy to do something small so i took to meditating on the sabbat thinking about what it meant to me personally.

Hope everyone had a great one!

Oh, and don't forget full moon this thursday GMT+1.

I'd never really had much exposure to the idea of spirit guides before i met my Wiccan friends but as i listened to them talk about it and compare their experiences i found the subject more and more fascinating.

I can't claim to fully understand what a spirit guide does, the extent of my knowledge is that they can help and guide a person during meditations and spell work, but I'm sure they mean, and do, a lot more to different people.

So, as a request to all our Pagan visitors, I'd like ...

Many of us, myself included tend to cast spells to aid change or help others.

In my mind a spell should be cast only when all other options have been exhausted, or in some cases as a boost to your own physical attempts to resolve the problem. I have no qualms about casting a spell to help another get out of a violent situation or to help another deal with their grief.

I cannot however condone the casting of spells for love as i consider these to be potentially harmful and taking away a person's ...

Witches and wiccans come in all form of flavour and style, but what differences are there?

There's pantheism, polytheism, henotheistic, dualistic, monotheistic...the list goes on.

Below i'll list a few with brief explanations. I'm looking to see what you all follow as i find the differences within Wicca/witchcraft intriguing. There are so many little subtleties, it's mind-blowing. Oh and incase your wondering ...

Hi everyone.

The moon tonight looks absolutely wonderful.

i finished my devotion and re-dedication to the gods just over an hour ago, and it felt magical.

To me the full moon is a time of creativity and exuberance full of energy and joy.

What is everyone else's take on the full moon? Do you have any specific feelings toward it? or does it hold a certain significance for you?

Oh, and last but not least .....do you celebrate the moon? if so anything specific?
