			<description>Although I’m not technically a Pagan I do have rather diverse beliefs and I still absolutely believe in the power of casting spells, but for me personally it’s less about magic and more about the psychological effect they can have, especially if you’re casting them for yourself or the person you are casting them for is aware that you’re doing it for them.

			<description>Nomac was the best! He was Cambodian macaque. They have a life span ( as I fed and kept him ) of 40 years. Now I have Mojo. He ~ Cairn Terrier and Pug. 			<description>I was just posting in another section and realised this umm discussion should be bought here.



Many people use the Term Witch, Pagan and Wiccan interchangably HOWEVER, your religion really doesnt dictate if your a Witch or not.



You can be Pagan and not practise Magick, 

You can be a Witch or practioner of Magick and be Athiest



Do you believe you need to follow a specific religion in order to practise magick? If so, why? and if not why not?

This phrase in magic has always intrigued me and I’ve often wondered just how seriously it’s taken amongst people practising witchcraft.



In a religion as diverse and open to individual interpretation as Wicca (and Paganism in general for that matter), how is a phrase like this generally perceived?



Should it be read and adhered to as an absolute rule, or seen more as advice or a suggestion?
